Use a chosen matching target

Suppose you choose a target of 45 matching rolls and already hold 8 usable rolls of the same required specification. This is your stock target, not a recommended reserve or a forecast for a café. Each selected offer contains 20 rolls per complete carton.

Subtract only usable matching rolls

The additional requirement is 37 rolls. Two whole cartons add 40 rolls, giving 48 in stock and 3 above the chosen target. Buying 1.85 cartons is not assumed to be possible. The tool shows the surplus so the effect of the purchase pack remains visible.

Round the carton purchase

A different width or unverified grade is not automatically matching stock. If you count complete cartons instead, both the target and held quantities must use that basis. Unknown roll counts or an unsupported receipt/day requirement are refused rather than converted with a guessed receipt length.

Read the surplus and limits

If held stock already exceeds the target, the additional order is zero. Large targets still need actual stock and supplier quantity-limit confirmation. The arithmetic does not reserve cartons, predict remaining trading days or approve a printer match. Your storage and use requirements remain separate from the rounding result.

Apply the field to a purchase

If the 8 rolls already held are another width or unknown grade,do not count them as matching simply to reduce the order. The arithmetic depends on a deliberate matching definition supplied by the buyer.
