Keep the physical supply distinct
Not necessarily. A roll’s physical paper width is not automatically its printable area. Margins,printer specifications and the configured output mode can matter. This purchase reference does not promise an 80 mm-wide printed image from an 80 mm nominal roll.
Software does not create wider paper
Likewise,a driver setting or a layout template cannot establish that the installed paper,guide and printer configuration meet the manual’s physical requirements. A narrow product being available at a lower price is not a reason to change a machine setup without its exact instructions.
Do not calculate receipt layout from the box
Our selected boxes publish paper dimensions and lengths,not a verified finished receipt design. No till software,barcode layout or cutter margin was tested. Do not divide paper width into a guessed number of characters and present that as a successful output trial.
Use the exact output specification
For a layout requirement,read the exact printer’s printable-area and software-setting sections and confirm the actual installed configuration. For the purchase itself,keep physical roll specifications separate. A supplier can then answer whether the selected media meets the required fields instead of treating a marketing width as a layout guarantee.
Apply the field to a purchase
The current manual lists printable area 72±0.2 mmfor 79.5±0.5 mmpaper and 52.5±0.2 mmfor 57.5±0.5 mmpaper. Those exactmodel source fields remain separate from our suppliers’ nominal roll sizes;no actual receipt layout was rendered or tested.
Do not assume a reversible width change
RevF says changing 80 mmto 58 mmrequires the included guide and software setting,and warns that once changed and used it cannot be changed back to 80 mmbecause of component wear. This buying guide does not provide a modification recipe or recommend switching width to chase a cheaper roll. Read the exact manual and obtain qualified help for a configuration question.
